Las Vegas Dress Code Guide

las vegas guestlists upcoming event for vegas nightclubs

When preparing for a night (or day) out in Las Vegas, what you wear matters. Venues have strict dress codes, and not following them can result in denied entry, even with a reservation. At Red Carpet VIP, we want your experience to be seamless, so here’s everything you need to know to dress appropriately for both nightclubs and dayclub pool parties.

Nightclub Dress Code

Las Vegas nightlife calls for fashion-forward, upscale attire. Whether you’re joining us at a nightclub or a more relaxed lounge, your attire must adhere to venue dress code standards.

For Men:

  • Dress shoes (no sneakers or athletic footwear)
  • Fitted slacks or dark jeans (no baggy or ripped styles)
  • Button-down shirts, polos, or upscale tees under a blazer
  • No hats, shorts, hoodies, or athletic wear

For Women:

  • Cocktail dresses and/skirts with upscale top
  • Heels or stylish flats/wedges
  • Avoid overly revealing, sheer, or casual clothing
  • No flip-flops, sneakers, or casual sandals

Dayclub Pool Party Dress Code – Beach Chic

Dayclubs in Vegas are known for their poolside glam. While it’s more casual than a nightclub, the look should still be elevated and stylish.

For Men:

  • Swim trunks or board shorts (avoid basketball or cargo shorts)
  • Tanks, t-shirts, or short-sleeved button-downs
  • Clean sandals, flip-flops, or casual sneakers
  • Cover-ups (shirts and shoes) must be worn through the casino

For Women:

  • Trendy swimwear with a cover-up (sarongs, dresses, or matching sets)
  • Wedges, sandals, or flip-flops (heels are okay)
  • Sunglasses, hats, and accessories are welcome but keep it tasteful

Avoid: Large bags, athletic shorts, gym clothes, and see-through cover-ups without proper coverage.

What Not to Wear – Applies to All Venues

Some clothing items just don’t make the cut—no matter the event.

  • Athletic gear (sweatpants, jerseys, gym shorts)
  • Baggy or ripped jeans
  • Sports or running shoes (especially in nightclubs)
  • Flip-flops (at night), casual sandals (men), or bare feet
  • Large bags or backpacks
  • Overly revealing, sheer, or sloppy outfits

Las Vegas venues take appearance seriously. Even with a reservation, inappropriate attire can result in denied entry. Dressing well ensures a smooth entrance into the venue. When in doubt, dress up, not down.
