Ying Yang Twins

The Ying Yang Twins, an American hip-hop duo made up of D-Roc and Kaine, are well-known for their upbeat live shows and catchy party tunes. The two are not really twin brothers, despite the name.

Their musical career started in 2000, but it wasn’t until 2003—when they worked with Britney Spears on her album “In the Zone” and with Lil Jon on the smash hit song “Get Low”—that they shot to national recognition. Their greatest years of prominence were 2004 and 2005, when party hits including “Salt Shaker,” “Wait (The Whisper Song),” “Shake,” and “Badd” hit the charts.

The song “Halftime (featuring Homebwoi)” by the Ying Yang Twins became even more well-known since it was played after touchdowns in New Orleans Saints home games. Their “The Official Work” mixtape was released in 2008. They then released “Ying Yang Forever” in 2009 and “Legendary Status: Ying Yang Twins Greatest Hits” a mere three months into 2009.

With the release of the mixtapes “Ass in Session” and “Twurk or Die” in 2013, the pair continued their musical journey and shown their tenacity and adaptability in the hip hop industry. The Ying Yang Twins have cemented their legendary reputation in the party hip-hop scene with their captivating live performances and singles.
