Skrillex

American DJ and music producer Sonny John Moore, better known by his stage name Skrillex, was born and raised in Northern California and Northeast Los Angeles. Moore first came to light as the main vocalist for the post-hardcore group From First to Last, appearing on the records “Heroine” (2006) and “Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount” (2004). But he started a solo career in 2007 and wowed crowds with his distinct voice.

Moore made his breakthrough in the electronic music world with his first EP “My Name Is Skrillex” in 2009 and the critically praised “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” EP in 2010, both released under the pseudonym Skrillex. His innovative contributions to dance and electronica were acknowledged at the 54th Grammy Awards in 2011, when this accomplishment culminated in many Grammy Award victories.

With his debut studio album “Recess” released in 2014, Skrillex demonstrated his diversity and inventiveness as a musician while still pushing limits.
