Since their formation in 2012, Bellingham, Washington-based Odesza, a powerful electronic music duo, has enthralled listeners with their captivating sounds. Odesza, made up of Clayton Knight and Harrison Mills, also known as BeachesBeaches and Catacombkid, separately, gained rapid traction in the underground electronic music industry.
Their 2012 release of “Summer’s Gone,” their debut album, was well received by the electronic music scene and helped pave the way for their quick rise. Odesza made their debut on Ninja Tune and Counter Records with the release of their second album, “In Return,” in 2014, following the success of their debut. This album demonstrated their changing sound and further cemented their place in the business.
When the pair’s song “Say My Name” (RAC mix) garnered them their first Grammy nomination in 2016, the world took notice of their ability. Then, in 2017, Odesza’s third studio album, “A Moment Apart,” debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 list, solidifying their reputation as giants of electronic music.
Odesza released “The Last Goodbye,” their fourth studio album, in 2022, pushing limits even farther and showing their inventive sound and creative vision. Beyond only their own music, they have made a significant impact on the electronic music world by starting the record label Foreign Family Collective, which gives up-and-coming musicians and visual artists a platform.
