Born in Canada on February 11, 1994, Shane Lee Lindstrom is a music producer better known by his stage name, Murda Beatz. Originating from Ontario, Canada, he has had a lasting impression on the music business, especially in the genres of trap and hip hop. He has been producing commercially successful singles for a wide range of musicians since 2011. Among these are several noteworthy songs: “Motorsport” by Migos; “Nice for What” by Drake; “Back on Road” by Gucci Mane; and “Butterfly Effect” by Travis Scott. But it was his partnership with Nicki Minaj on 6ix9ine’s 2018 smash song “Fefe” that really catapulted him into the spotlight, as he peaked at number one on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100 charts.
A new chapter in Lindstrom’s career began in 2019 when he signed a record deal with Interscope Records. His first song as a lead singer, “Shopping Spree,” which included Sheck Wes and Lil Pump, demonstrated his desire and adaptability. Furthermore, he has participated in other joint ventures, putting out songs and mixtapes alongside musicians like MadeinTYO, Smokepurpp, 24hrs, G Herbo, and PnB Rock, to name a few. His producer tag, which declares, “Murda on the beat so it’s not nice!” is one of his distinguishing characteristics. It has become well recognized and synonymous with his work.
