Kenny Beats

Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Kenneth Charles Blume III, better known by his stage name Kenny Beats, started his musical career at an early age. He began playing the guitar at age nine and the drums at age eleven before taking up music production in high school. His passion for music creation began when, in his junior year, he placed second in a national electronic music competition, demonstrating his skill.

Following his dream, Kenny relocated to New York and worked as an intern at Cinematic Music Group, which paved the way for partnerships with Smoke DZA and attracted Levi Maestro for a Brisk advertising campaign. He later studied music management and jazz guitar at Boston’s Berklee College of Music.

Kenny uses Ableton Live as his preferred DAW and has a varied producing approach. His beats frequently feature live instruments performed by him or other musicians. His music is a blend of many genres, including experimental hip-hop and trap, and is distinguished by complex hi-hats, powerful bass, and inventive sampling. His versatile style is seen in collaborations like “Phone Numbers” with Dominic Fike, where he combines digital instruments with real guitar samples.

Kenny rhythms, known for his producer tag “Whoa, Kenny!”, is a well-known musician that consistently pushes the frontiers of music production by creating inventive rhythms that appeal to both fans and musicians.
