Blackchild, the stage name of 23-year-old Italian DJ producer Gennaro Filisdeo, was up listening to hip-hop, R&B, and disco music with vintage schoolhouse albums. His father’s record collection has had a significant effect on Blackchild’s life. He hails from the little island of Ischia in the Naples Gulf. When he began making tech-house music at the age of 18, the greatest names in the underground industry, like Marco Carola, Kenny Dope, The Martinez Brothers, Fisher, Todd Terry, Neverdogs, and many more, backed him right away.
